Word Gnome: I live under a mushroom in the woods. It sucks. My life's passion has been words and making people sound less ignorant and stupid. I believe that the kind of citizen we need in a democracy is one who knows the difference between "incompetent" and "incontinent." Ideally, the citizenry would also know the difference between a Bruichladdich 18 and a Macallan 12, or a Davidoff Special R and a Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Maduro, but beggars can't be choosers when it comes to The Great Unwashed.
